    How to arrive?

On public transport, then on foot or by bicycle. The regional railroad line R3 connects Barcelona to Sant Quirze de Besora, as well as to Torelló. From Sant Quirze de Besora, there is a beautiful walk along the Catalan Central Footpath (grade 3, 10 km., 650 m. gradient). It’s an ideal path to take in the morning, spend the night at the sanctuary and plan a walking tour for the following day. From Torelló, you can walk or bike to Sant Pere de Torelló. There is a bike path that connects the two towns. From Sant Pere, you can walk up to the sanctuary along the Old Road (grade 151, 6 km., 630 m. gradient) or bike along the highway. Another option is to take the train to Torelló and take a taxi up to the sanctuary.

Driving. The only highway that arrives at the Sanctuary begins in Sant Pere de Torelló. The only other roads that access the Sanctuary are trails, footpaths or roads not suitable for vehicle traffic.

ATENTION! The Sanctuary has an open and free-of-charge parking facility located less than five minutes from the building. If you arrive with a heavy load, or a mobility impaired guest, you are able to drive up to the building, then drive back down to park. It is very important to keep in mind that this last stretch of road is very steep and winding. Therefore, it is not appropriate for inexperienced drivers or people with vertigo.
